Arrival & Reception

International delegates will arrive in Delhi at the Indira Gandhi International Airport which is about 25 km from the downtown area. Delegates will have to be transferred from Delhi International Airport to Jaipur by Road, Train or Air. Jaipur is about 265 km and it takes 4-5 hrs. to reach there by Train or Road. Flights are also available from Domestic Airport and it takes about 30 min to reach. Information counters will also be set up at the Airport and Railway station in Jaipur.

You may please inform the option of travel to Jaipur while registering for the conference by giving your full name, names of accompanying persons and the time & mode of your arrival in Jaipur.
 

Accommodation in Jaipur

Accommodation in Jaipur is being arranged by the organizers. A list of various Hotels in different price categories is also placed on the website (www.icrb2008.org). The delegates are advised to fill up the accommodation form and send it to Secretariat along with the DD of required amount in an early date. It will help us to arrange the accommodation according to the desire of delegates.
 

Transport in Jaipur

The local city transport from the designated hotels to the conference and back to the hotels after the day’s sessions will be provided by the conference organizers to facilitate the delegates. There will be no shuttle service during the day. Local transport (taxi or auto rickshaw) can be hired by the delegates on their own as an and when required.
 

 

Registration

The participants are expected to register and pay the registration fee. Foreign delegates should send the fee in the form of demand draft by using swift code while India delegates should send demand draft in physical form to conference secretariat along with their registration form. This will help us to prepare their conference kits and save them time in registering after their arrival at the venue. However the participants will be able to register on the spot at the conference venue. The registration counter will open at 8.00 am on 10th November. Registration will also be possible on other days of the conference for the participants arriving late or attending only a part of the conference.
 

Badges

Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons, all participants are requested to wear their badge during all the conference activities and social events.

Disclaimer / Liability

The Organizing Committee accepts no liability for any injuries/ losses incurred by participants and/ or accompanying persons, nor loss of, or damage to, any luggage and/ or personal belongings. Participants are strongly advice to take their own personal insurance policies.

Security and Insurance

All those attending the Conference will be required to wear ID badges at all the time. These will be issued on registration after arrival. Participants are advised to take out medical insurance before leaving their place. The organizers will make all efforts to ensure safety and security of the participants during the conference but do not take any responsibility for illness, injury or loss of property.

Currency

Currency regulation in India require, all foreign nationals and non-resident Indians to pay for their hotel and travel expenses in Foreign Currency Cash, travelers cheques or major credit cards, such as Master, Visa which are accepted at most places. It is recommended that delegates purchase some Indian Rupees after check-in at their hotel.
 

Visa Requirement

Citizens of all countries require a valid national passport / travel document with a valid visa to visit India. These may be obtained from the Indian Mission / Consular Office in the country of their residence. For any clarifications write to info@icrb2008.org

 

Vaccination

Any foreign national coming from or transiting through countries where Yellow Fever is endemic is required to possess a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. There are no other vaccination requirements for travelers to India.

Climate

November is the beginning of the winter month in Jaipur. Day temperatures during this month remain around 220C during the day and may fall to 100C at night. In other parts of northern India the temperature may be lower. The period is generally free from rain rarely showers may occur.

Electric Supply

The standard electric supply in India is 220 volts A.C., 50 cycles, single phase for all domestic lighting. Most hotels also provide 110 volts electric point for use of electric shavers, hair dryers etc. If you are carrying a laptop/portable computer or other 110 volts equipment, it is advisable to check for bringing an adopter with it. You may check with us for any specific query in this regard.

Clothing

At the time of the conference, the weather in Jaipur will be cold. It is advisable to carry woolens.

Languages

English is commonly used in all business transactions. However, the main spoken language is Hindi. Official language of the conference will be English.
